This game is a bit like a hike.
It goes on past the point of enjoyment, but you keep going just to seek the reward at the end.
This game is simply too long. The gameplay isn't the most entertaining, and twenty minutes of becomes incredibly bland. With difficult levels at the end, a play through this game is tedious.
What's good about this game, however, is the graphics. Perfectly made pixels. And the sound is acceptable (music gets boring).
I can't imagine anyone doing this in under five minutes at such a difficulty level.

The animation for the battle was fantastic and the audio was correctly placed.
The ending, although shocking, was somewhat dull. The sequel might be interesting, but if the only plot involves Pichachu killing himself, it could easily be dull also.
The fighting was superb. Work on the plot.

Decent game. The graphics and programming is perfect, and the concept is good.
However, there is far too much waiting around for evolution points. If the flow of evolution points was much higher and more predictable (say you got one for every infected person), this would be a lot better.
For example, while typing this, as a parasite I only acquired about 20 points (on max speed). That's not enough to keep me very interested. As a virus, it is more entertaining, but gets really dull after everybody shuts their borders.
Also, there should be some way for countries to reopen borders and such. Putting so much work into building up a good parasite isn't very rewarding if Madagascar closes its borders.

...that's a bit twisted.
As for the game, the graphics were minimalistic and the gameplay was short-lived. Despite those shortfalls, it was still entertaining for about one minute, until the game ended.
To improve:
Change the "WTF" button from "WTF" to "How to Play".
Make it so the figures don't mystically disappear.
Make it significantly longer.
Make the crosshair always visible.

You animation skills are great (although you do need to add more color). Now it's time to use them in a submission with a plotline.
As for NG's audio policy; nobody who works for Newgrounds will seek you out if you use copyrighted audio. However, if somebody who owns the music sees that it's used illegally, you might have to take down the submission. (If you submit copyrighted audio to the audio portal, you'll get flagged and deleted.)
Author's Response:
geh, yeah, i knoooow. (about the colour thing). i colour all my paid work, and it's quite an repetitive job. especially with the style of animation i use, which is to say, hand drawn frames and in-betweens, rather than using hinge-pin models or tweened graphic symbols. (though there is a little of that going on)
actually, most of these animations are plot-based. by themselves, that is.
thanks for the info, bomber, i've got to admit, i don't feel fantastic about ripping someone's music, someone else's art, and using it to promote mine, but i'm not a muscician, and it's standard to have musical accompaniment for demo reels.
thanks again!

Nice animation. However, this submission is really lacking.
It needs length (make it longer), sound, and a preloader.

That's pretty funny.
However, if you added color, used backgrounds, and enhanced your voice acting, this would be a lot better.

Fantastic graphics and a great overall mode. The programming is also flawless.
This submission's simplicity is its greatest asset. All of the challenges are of an easy enough difficulty that it compels you to play.
However, it's a bit short. I wouldn't make it any longer unless you wanted to add in a new mission, though.

Graphics are phenomenal. Programming is great. But what isn't happens to be the most important part of the game; its gameplay.
Level one is very easy. Obviously suitable for a first level. But when you get to level two, the game's difficulty spirals out of control, from being very easy to somewhat hard. This isn't good. Then I saw the third level was just as hard as the second.
The first levels of a game should always be easy. Then they should work their way up to a higher level of difficulty. It should never go from easy to hard within any two levels, especially the first. So, level design needs some work.
Also, you should never be able to jump over significant parts of the level.
